It is look like Horizon is launching Russian service.
My credit card was charged on 31/12/04 with sub. fees, first time after installation of box two months ago. But it doesn't seems to be scrambled yet. Although, last couple days more and more often I 'm having messages mentioning smart card.

This is the problem, how would you feal if in April
its still FTA and their deducting your sub of you from your credit card while everyone else is getting it free, you should have waited till it was encrypted.

Yes,Phil, you are right. And you know how to make someone happier . Just joking.
Want to save hundred bucks now - be ready to loose ten tomorrow. We'll see what happen next.

Complain,! I know there are some issues going on with Irdeto2 at the moment, why should you pay when the rest are getting it free. Its not fair for the people like you that done the right thing.
I would wait until they encrypt before signing up. But sometimes they try to give you discount if you sign up earlier

They send out their boxes a lot faster than fixing problems :S

I don't think there is any reason for rushing to subscribe now. Anyway they will charge you $99 for the box. Two months ago it was free, so there was point to subscribe than.
For me, even if it will be FTA for anothe couple months I won't lose anything. And all this time I haven't got headache with tarbs Box but use better Technosat one.

Satfreak....can you clarify one thing for me? If I sign up with TV+ will I still have access to all the Russian channels on PAS8 or not. And if not, is there any way to sign up to both pachages, TV+ Polish one (if and when it will have one) and Horizon TV Plus Russian package, at a cheaper price?
Thanks
Posted By: Satfreak Re: Horizon World Plus TV - Sun 09 Jan 2005 04:41:AM
In the future that will be possible but not just yet.

It will possibly be extra $20 dollars either way to get both packages but these plans are some time off.

Same for future english channels..

Long term for $99 you will get english, russian, arabic, balkan etc but its a few months off

Cheers

Rgs

They are advertising Horizon TV on RTVI. It's probably why it is still FTA.

I can't see any changes on their site for the last three months. No mention about encryption. I realised that it was encrypted only when I pulled card out.

I think someone might have mentioned it before, but not all of the data information is sent to the STB, and therefore doesn't display the channels. If you had a REAL FTA STB then the signal would be fine, and you'd be able to watch it
