New Channels on PAS-8 - AUS-CITY Message Forums

Deutsche Welle TV started test broadcast on 12526 H 28800. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/default/smile.gif" /> <img src="http://members.dodo.com.au/~brcko/DW001a.jpg" alt=" - " />

TV Chile is moving from 12726 H 28066 to 12526 H 28800 making some space for something new to come at the vacant spot <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/default/smile.gif" />

Kool hope this one stays FTA on here like on AS2 But could also be a test and might leave soon... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/default/confused.gif" />

Interesting! DW should stay FTA I cant see why they would want it to be encrypted.

GREEK01 is Antenna.

So DW German channel on Pas 8 Satellite thats good because me neighbour is German and he cant get it of the other Satellite because its to low but he will be able to get it of pas 8. I told him to contact DW to find out if its staying FTA. This company doing this (Select) must not have much money if they are taking channels like DW and others.

Interesting!!. Regarding Deutsche Welle It will be Interesting if it stays FTA. I have a friend that is German and he has a useless dish on Pas 8 and I'm going over there tomorrow to tune it up. But will they encrypt it, or are they just testing it.?

According to YU4CFG box it shows that DW,TVE ($) will be a Pay channel now for me thats not on.

yes the $ sign is there i guess a cheap way to get it straight from AS2 and encrypt it and make a few $$$ off it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/default/smile.gif" />

You will all find that it is Antenna. And yes it is the same as whats on Foxtel.

like I said before interesting. Now I know foxtel has rights for antenna but how does Select fit in the picture, hummmmmmm I have my opinion but will keep it to myself.

You won't see this channel on UBI. Too many bad memories from the past!

I mean everyone said UBI wouldt have Mega, Alpha etc .. on UBI but UBI did get them nothing is certain til its on our screens and Ant1 is not on our screens yet or nothing official been released about it GREEK 01 doesn't mean nothing until it changes its name to Ant1 or even go FTA for a preview to see what it actually is Like i say i won't believe it til i see it <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/default/smile.gif" />

Select tv has my subscription now.

It is not allowed to show a preview because Foxtel also has the rights.

I think WMI (My Sat) have the "rights" to Ant1 and they sell these rights to Foxtel. Therefore, it would be unusual for Ant1 to be on Selectv and more likely for it to be on MySat. Unless theres a contract with Foxtel for it not to be shown on MySat (but then again that wouldnt stop MySat from selling the rights to another carrier such as Selectv) Ps Im hoping ubi gets the rights so I can get rid of Foxtel [ 28. I have emailed DW to find out whats going on. I have been told its not staying FTA so whats is this mob trying to do by flogging two channels DW and TVE that are both on the European Bouquet on Asiasat 2 free to air. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/default/confused.gif" />

I don't think Selectv have Exclusive rights to it Let see what happens in the next month as it will be interesting to see what happens <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/default/wink.gif" />

We all Know Antenna is not exclusive as foxtel also have it. UBI have been knocked back by WMI. UBI also offered more money than Select and were still rejected. And you don't have to be smart to know why.

I think you might find when UBI go bust Tarbs Europe will still be the rights holder of those channels?

Are UBI still in the fight for Ant1? not that they need it when they get the rest up. Somehow I cant see Select surviving, Australia has to many Pay TV Companies some will crash.

With Alter Globe on UBI now only channel left for SelecTV is ERT Sat which is FTA on B3 anyway

Again they are trying to sell something that is free elsewhere.

Why is that? Cyprus sat is not really exclusive to UBI.

"Think" and "Knowing" are 2 different things

He is involved in the negotiations along with the Minister For The Interior. I think they know. Cyprus is a very small country.

meh.... Finally, after a good 4 hours we got the Pas8 signal... Fair Dinkum!! My dad and i had given up (cos of a mounting the satelitte problem) when we found B3 by absolute fluke!! The satelitte wasnt even mounted!! After some messing around we found PAS8 and we now have another Greek channel to our collection!! We found another channel on PAS8 (Select) that had the name of GREEK_2.. any idea of what this could be?? Thanks for listening to the story of finding PAS8 by fluke!! (ui hope i didnt bore you!) We have a signal quality of 40 on a 65cm dish.. what do others have??

40% quality you could do better As for GREEK2 only thing left is ERT Sat or nothing so duno

The B3 is also at 48%

yeh i use a 65cm for PAS8 and 90cm for B3

The funny thing is tho, that we accidently put V polarisation and it has about 65-75%?? What the?? The same channels tho??

yeh ur LNB skew is out u need to adjust it properly and make the signal Peak for H as there is no V on PAS8 Aus Beam

Yeah bu this is the same case at my uncle who is getting 91% as a pose to 50% on the H polar?? How would i adjust it?? Would i need a new LNB? it is universal

nah just rotate the LNB around til u get better signal for H
