New Balkan channels on UBI??? - AUS-CITY Message Forums

Flicking through the UBI channels today, I noticed that ch.35 & ch.37 (former Pink channels) no longer have the message "experiencing technical difficulties" instead it now reads "New premium Balkan channel coming soon". Does this mean that UBI are finally admitting they will not have either of the Pink channels (the same thing happened with TV Chile on ch.39). If this is the case, what channels are coming? When? Etc, etc... My understanding of the word "new" means something you didn't have previously. There's a lot of misinformation being spread around on various forums, and plenty of people are eagerly awaiting some answers. Does anyone know something that I don't? Regards, Paja

The broadcast rights are currently being reviewed right now and we hope to have Pink Plus and Pink Extra back shortly. The new art card is just advising customers that new Balkan channels will be coming to UBI soon.

well how come are these rights poping up...I thought UBI had rights!? wasnt that in the australian and that guy owner of tarbs told one aussie paper that they have the rights for pink? so it turned out they didnt is that right?

All I wanted to know was what mysterious new balkan channels UBI were getting, and when. As he always does, Liski told all of us nothing. How many times are you going to tell us "the broadcast rights are currently being reviewed". What does that mean? Does i't mean your full of shit and can't think of any good lies to tell people. You and Satfreak must be related. Why don't you just have the balls to tell people "hey we lost both pink channels but don't worry, were getting some other ones". Honesty, now thats an interested approach. As for TV+, who in their right mind would want to pay $65 a month for such lousy picture & sound quality, which after so many months is still no better than when they started. And they also want $200 for some crap "box", when most people only need the card. That's just pure greed. I'm not here to insult or offend people, all I wanted were some answers. Paja You must understand that nothing confidential can be put on this forum, why? You must know why. Unfortunately because of TV plus spies on this forum Liski and Myself will not pass any information to the general public anymore. There is an old saying LOOSE LIPS SINK SHIPS. Within the next few weeks we all will know if UBI will get to get the PINKS back and I'm not saying more. Thanks Phil, I was just venting my frustrations. I know there are things going on behind the scenes, but even I know some of them. That's why it's frustrating when you are trying to put some of the pieces of the jigsaw together, and the only responses you get are statements that tell you nothing (just like politicians). Can you at least tell us the total number of Balkan channels UBI expect to have. And what sort of time frame before everything is up and running? (weeks, months, etc) The worst part about all of this is the waiting game. Regards, Paja

Paja, If you Subscribe with TV Plus you will have Pink. And about TV Plus receivers it is not bad, but if you have one they can offer you easy customer support over PH.

Am I missing something here? Everyone only ever mentions "Pink". Pink is NOT the only Serbian channel. Nobody is going to pay TV+ $65 a month for Pink. The winner in the end will be the company that has the biggest & best package of Serbian channels. Regards, Paja

Pink, Pink Extra, Pink BH, Hayat, OBM, BN, BK, and there is some more cant remember from Bosnia and unlimited dial up internet all this for only $65 At the moment just internet cost me $16.95 UBI cost $59.95 NO INTERNET NO PINK

TV PLUS only have Pink Plus, BK and BN 3 channels thats all now but they keep saying more will come well they have been saying that for months now and also been saying thats the quality issue with the channels they have will be rectified but as yet nothing new has happened quality wise or channels wise <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/default/rolleyes.gif" /> and as ppl have rang tv plus and luckily got thru afta hours being on hold tv plus think the quality of the channels is fine and they keep saying to customers " THERE MIGHT BE SOMETHING WROUNG WITH YOUR TV SIR !! look guys, this is all bullshit. anyone with any brains will not sign up to anything untill this is all sorted out. this thing is shifting back and forwards with the wind. they are all fucking lying. we'll fix the quality, we'll get the pink back. tv+ probably doesnt have enough resources to improve on their shit situation and need time to compensate. q is how much time. and ubi is just bullshiting with the we will get pink back line mark my words. whis will take a while. untill then watch sbs or something

One package!! Maybe the people in the control room doing the encryption can only handle one package as two packages will cause confusion for them.

[/QB][/QUOTE] listen mate I doubt ppl back home dont give a toss if it is TV plus or UBI, they might even favourise TV plus because of the serbian managment or ceo or whatever...On the other hand yes there are some ppl who dont like pink but majority of them will go where pink is..It has the biggest pop and folk stars, talk show so on so on...pink xtra is ok and I dont mind it but could do without it but pink plus no way!

Yes lots going on, I hope this mess gets sorted out soon. For me the quicker the better but I have a feeling it will drag on. My opinion and only my Opinion just say TV plus gets its way and get to have Pink, BN, BK and UBI are left without these three UBI will hunt for its own bouquet of Balkans channels, so what will happen is all this shit between the two companies will settle down for UBI but I have FEELING that the Problems of TV plus will only start Hoooooo thank to the anonymous person that sent me that email and explained to me How this puzzle between TV plus+PanGlobal+ their Encryption and how they encrypt+the access of their Balkans channels and the reason why they have the quality problem. I won't say more, I will wait until the conclusion of the TVplus/UBI court case. Phil

This sounds interesting! There must be a reason why the poor quality pictures and I bet it has something to do with dollars.

If TV Plus gets Pink Plus all Serbian women will go to TV+. If TV+ gets Pink Extra, all Serb men will go to TV+. Personally i was hoping that UBI will come out of this as a winner, with both Pink channels. Now, i have to move my dish back to where it was before and unfortunatelly subscribe to TV+.
