There is official letter from TV Plus stating that TV Plus is opening Macedonian Package starting with ORBIS TV, live from Bitola, Macedonia. Is that TV Plus' response to U.B.I.'s Macedonian Package?
Also, TV Plus expecting to start broadcast of RTS (PTC) very soon.

Is that another "promise" of TV Plus or offensive to attract most of former TARBS Balkan subscribers?

Sounds tempting, but only time will tell.

Also, TV Plus lowered it's monthly subscription to $55 if prepayed for 6 months.

It's good price if TV Plus stay alive for that long...

Again its a pity the pink channels didn't go with UBI because the Balkans people will have a better chance for value for their dollar.
Again anyone in business knows when things are not going well the accountants will tell you that you need urgent cash flow and you do what you have to do to get it. Who know they might not be able to pay there transponder cost.

Apparently Coles Myer has a large stake in Orbis TV, hence the logo similarities. They're interested in launching a TV channel, and found that Macedonia was the right market size and composition to carry out a trial. The trial is over, and are now looking into launching other channels across Europe.

[ 27. Debono,

Why don't you stay neutral if you are stating you have no interest in UBI at all. UBI can not match TV Plus in channel that they are offering at all. I've have not subscribe to TV Plus nor to UBI. UBI has been promising "premium" Balkan channels for past 5, 6 or who know how many months and nothing as all has happened. They have one channel from Bosnia, Hayat TV which 99% of people would agree you can not call a TV station, no movies, no series, no sport, no documentaries, no nothing. You seem to attack everyone who ever mentions anything about TV Plus. I don't care for UBI, I don't care for TV Plus, and I will take something that will give me better value for money as everyone else. Let's them do their job as good as they can and they will get their subscribers if they can achieve, as I mentioned above, some good, or decent value for money.

Hey tuppelo this is my group of forums, if you don't like it go elseware. I don't give a flying shit what Tv plus does its up to them what they do Also please don't tell me how to run my forums as I'm sick of people hiding behind aliases telling me what to do.

Its funny how some always bring this shit up.
I can tell you all this because this is the way I look at it and if you don't like it its BAD LUCK The only grief I've ever had with members on these forums have all except for one been members
from the Balkans, and or somehow something to do with TV plus. Since all use aliases the only way I can retaliate is to become more pro for UBI so in simple, more crap that comes my way the harder I push for UBI banner

Have a nice day! see just as well other members see it this way otherwise I would be called biased. see some member need information for their customers so they can make a honest living so every now and then we get "A" person that comes to this forum and mouths off and this is the reason why Liski and myself don't bother anymore on the Public forums, we just play along but its effects others which take offence to it as they rely on the accurate info.

No I won't apsattv!!! because the difference is I always allow one two or even up to 10 digs against UBI per member but you are a joke My tally is over a 100 just from you alone

Well it's not your fault if a provider goes belly up Mr P Debobo. It's just business. Unfortunately it's a tough business as costs are high and sub numbers too low.

I just read that Pink Extra will time share with Pink Plus from 12am to 6am and that BHT will time share with BKTV from 12am to 6am aswell. Does anyone know if this is true?

I wonder where this signal is coming from? Let's see if TV Plus keeps it's next promise of RTS coming "very soon."

Its still to expensive for a few lousy channels. At least when you sub to UBI you get the lot even if you don't want to watch them.

Watching some soccer matches like CRVENA ZVEZDA vs. STRASBOUR (Cup UEFA) is priceless for true soccer fans.
The match just finished on Pink Extra with result of 2:2 which is not good for RED STAR but I enjoyed watching the game.

hi everyone!!

Great site! I hope you guys could help me with a few questions.

I was originally a Tarbs customer (back in the good old days) and once tarbs went bust, i showed interest in TV Plus. Unfortunatly they were not convincing, i signed an application with them but months went past without anyone contacting me. They also tried to take money out of my account without any prior communication or installment of the actuall service. As i can see some of you have this service and maybe you can tell me if they are dodgy or not.

Another weird thing is that Pink, BK and BN come on every Monday for about 6-7 hours (during the day). My dish is currently on PAS 8, and these 3 channels are encrypted (apart from Monday). Do you know what the deal is with that?

You also mentioned that RTS might come on board (they initially advertized Eurosport as well). I would seriously consider the service than, but i am still very sceptical.

Thaks heaps for your help

Thanks heaps yu4cfg!!! As i said before i was one of the first ones to apply (when it came out in serbian voice), however they never replyed to me.

I have a Humax VA-Ace box, so they would probbably just send me the card (since i am in WA) if i decided to join up.

As i said if they can secure RTS and Extra (permanently) i would definetly consider joining up. RTS has most of the rights on sporting events and Pink extra has some too. These channels are great for beating nostalgia.

I think once they sort out their channels we will subscribe. Why the hell take Pink Extra off?

Every Sat company has its own sat decoder. Why do they make it so hard? There should be one box available for all services, just chaging cards around. I mean I wouldn't mind subscribing to Selec Tv for Antenna but too much trouble. Have to buy new decoder, change sat position etc.

Too much...

PAS 8 and therefore Ant 1 are a lot easier to find than Optus B3. PAS 8 seems to generate a MUCH higher signal intensity and b3 is too close to c1

Its a pity Ethnic pay tv has gone this way because back in the tarbs days all eggs were in one basket and we all payed only one sub but today there are to many companies and we only get a limited amount of channels. look what tarbs gave us, you subscribed to one package and most of the time we got the lot except for the movie network and disney channel but it was worth it but today all these new providers are giving us nothing for our money. Only UBI give you a full selection of other channels even if you don't want them.
All i can say is I hope UBI get a good balkans selection of channels and also the basic English channels back because we are sitting on the fence here as our family will not subscribe to tv plus. Personally I don't give a shit because I'm not a Macedonian but its for my wife but because its been so long since we had tarbs we don't miss it at all and will only subscribe when we are offered a good fair package like we had back in the tarbs days.

Thanks for that YU4CFG! Do you pay for the days that the card is in transit? Is the card already activated when it gets sent out, or once you receive it, you call up, and then get the card activated?

Why not buy a cheap DM500 and you can share it around other boxes around the house. The DM 500's are under $400 and for the copy version well i wont get into that. Some of you guys are scared of technology.

Just think YU4CFG
If you had a DB500 you could have your TVplus card into it watching "A" channel and sharing it on another box in your bedroom or kitchen watching another TVplus channel and when you feel happy anf smarter you can share it 2000k away. now that has to be worth it but again like others have found out they are not a easy box to set up and play with.

With A1 Plus now part of GlobeCast World TV in the US, it would seem logically we'll be seeing it soon on TVPlus.

Just flicked over to Pink Plus, and I don't see the little "plus" in the corner. Could this be the actual terrestrial Pink?

TV plus just doesent care, if it did this would have been fixed by now. Its been well over one year and nothing has been done.. So nothing will make them fix the problem now.

What's with the TVPlus quality? We know it's bad but there seems to be a new element of "badness" to it. There seems to be like a horizontal rainbow effect, you know, the thing you sometimes get during bad analogue terrestrial reception. Also, some of the footage seems like it's being played back through a VCR, with analogue distortion happening.

It's been over five months since the tv plus letter and still nothing from the promise of "more exciting content to come very soon including RTS." Only Orbis appeared and pink extra seems to be missing. Talk about false advertisement!
