Sorry The SERB, there's really nothing you can do to improve the picture. Unfortunately TV Plus has decided to get the channels via the USA, and with 2 conversions and compression, we get what we have now on TV Plus, crap quality and crap sound. Sorry

Does it take that long to fix a encryption fault, RUBBISH Its Irdeto 2, could you imagine Foxtel Austar taking this long to fix a problem, RUBBISH ,,, Foxtel and Austar do the same trick to allow other packages to be viewed with a lesser package, a marketing ploy. In my eyes if this is so it has backfired as its allowed a member to view the quality of the channels before subscribing to TV Plus.

i still believe it's a great marketing move. existing customers can't do much becase they say its a fault. and new costumers can repoint their dishes at the same time.

i disagree. if i was a serb i would repoint my dish now. if it's free quality is not important. bad quality picture better than no picture.

and once they get used to watching these channels 24/7 they can subscribe to tv plus.

you can. 90% turks i know with UBI don't watch australian channels at all. I'm sure older serbs wouldn't care about australian channels or channel quality.

This is a somewhat cunning move on the part of TV Plus. Now that UBI is about to enhance its Balkan package with Serbian channels, TV Plus is all of a sudden being gracious to the Serbian community and offering a free preview of its own Serbian channels. It is a sign of desperation on the part of TV Plus, and I still think that ultimately TV Plus will go bankrupt. I sure as hell won't be shedding any tears for them.

Yes but the existing customers are still paying. They should refuse to pay as long as it stays Free to air

Maybe UBI in cooperation with the broadcaster, is creating sat versions of existing terrestrial channels, we might be seeing more local stations popping up.

I read on another forum that they had a ticker running across the screen, saying it will encrypt in January, so to subscribe call #######
I'm not sure if they're for real, or it's some kind of mix up.

I just remembered ,
UBI and TV PLUS battle ,all TV PLUS win
Pink Plus
Pink Extra
Chile Tv
BN tv
And I just realised, UBI has no Quality Channels Tarbs used to have.UBI`s channels are "buy 1 get 5 Free kind" (look Turkish ,Arabic, latino channels)
Thats how you make money...Nice packaging, good advertising doesn't matter what's inside, you'll still sell it.

By the way
Digiturk pack allmost Turkish pack is 14euro=less then 20 au dollars.People pay 60 dollars here...(with no world cup soccer rights)Each member pays 40 dollars for Transponder usage.

http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/digiturk.html
check this pack this is a 14 euro pack
not 60 dollars ...(what is on this page you`ll get that for 14 euro =less them 20 dollars.)
PLEASE COMPARE THIS PACK WITH UBI AND THE PRICE..

The same car built in Australia exported to the United States of America with the BETTER ENGINE in it as a LS2 6.0 L is only $32,000 US thats around $42,000 Australian and mind you they have to get the car to the States. Now they have sold only 11,500 Monaros in Australia in total in the 4 years that's all ..The same new models have been available in the US but in Califonia alone they have sold 14,000 plus of our monaro's called GTO and it total around 45,000 across the US and other countries. Now if you understand the above of how they can sell an Australian car, export it and sell it with the better engine in it for 2/3 of the price of what we pay maybe then you will understand why we pay so much for ANYTHING IN AUSTRALIA.. Its the Small population we have thats the reason. Ask foxtel when they pay the HIGHEST IN THE WORLD for their US Movie rights WHY?? Its all calculated before contracts are signed on the percentage of patronage and which Pay TV Company will get what and that governs what Subscription the customer will pay. Its simple, if we had 200 Million Population Foxtel would be $50 for all their channels, not $100 like its is now and the same would be for UBI. If we had say 40 Million out of the 200 million Ethnic population, UBI would be able to charge you $25 per sub and like The US Monaros the cost of Transport by ship to the US like Transponder costs to get the channels to Australia would be hidden in the Mass population subscribing to any pay TV company.
Now is this hard to understand?

Your box is disabled because you left it on a UBI transponder when clearly told not to leave it on if you Don't want UBI.

quote:
Originally posted by P Debono:
Hey mr_mixer Here is one for You!!
My New Monaro cost me $62,000 on the road with an LS1 5.7L engine in it.

I disagree. If Monaro had been priced $32,000 here Holden would have sold a lot more than 45,000 of them by now. How many Commodores do they sell for the same price? Just imagine how many more better built and more sporty Monaros they would sell instead. The one and only reason for the price disparity is competition and nothing else.

(Off topic)
Python
I disagree with you why?
If the Monaro was sold for 32K then they would have to drop the price below 32K for all the other models
1/The Calais
2/Berlina
3/SS
4/SV8
and even the Budget Executive.
and if the impossible ever happened what would Ford do to match Holden. We pay too much for our cars in Australia, we get ripped off by the day.
another thing the Monaro only appeals for certain buyers and the statistics at Holden tell us that over 42% of Monaro owners have had one back in the seventies, and 14% still have there car back in the seventies today with a new one parked next to it.And don't forget the Monaro is only a 4 seater not 5.

[ 22.
