Generally, the bigger dish has more gain, but there isn't much difference between 2.4 and 3m.<br />The solid dish may have a better surface accuracy<br />(I have seen some that are worse).<br />A solid dish usually is more acceptable for weak Ku Band signals. So I guess it comes down to the price and which bands you want to use.<br /> If you're only ever going to use C band on this antenna, then mesh. If you are considering using Ku, then you should consider the solid.
