Taking a polygraph doesn't do much. They're inadmissable in court and they are not used in child protection. You can take one but basically as far as it going towards any child protection matter or clearing someone's name, it's useless. All it will do is tell the person taking it what they already knew. Police and child protection services won't touch a polygraph.

Polygraphs are not 100% accurate. In fact they can be easily fooled. Words will hold much more over a polygraph result.
