Press Release 11 September 2018 PR (2018) 107 NATO Allied Command Transformation - Change of Command Ceremony (REVISED) NATO’s Supreme Allied Commander Transformation Headquarters change of command will take place on 12 September, 15.15 CET (9:15 a.m. EDT), at Naval Support Activity Hampton Roads, Norfolk, Virginia. During the ceremony, Gen. Denis Mercier (French Air Force), Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, will change responsibility with Gen. André Lanata (French Air Force). The ceremony was initially scheduled to take place aboard the aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush on Sept. 13, in the presence of the Secretary General, the North Atlantic Council and the Military Committee, but has been moved forward due to the approach of Hurricane Florence.
