NATO Secretary General statement on suicide attack in Kunduz
Press Release (2011) 030 Issued on 14 Mar. 2011 I strongly condemn the suicide attack today at an Afghan National Army recruiting center in Kunduz. This incident killed or wounded many Afghans, including children. I express my condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this despicable attack, and I wish a full recovery to the injured. The enemies of Afghanistan are threatened by a strong Afghan National Army and have therefore struck those citizens who were signing up to serve and secure Afghanistan's future.
NATO remains committed to its mission and will continue to support the training and development of the Afghan National Security forces. We will continue to strengthen Afghanistan's ability to resist terrorism.
