Light 4.0 quake hits near Masjed Soleymān, Iran
4.0 quake 14 Km of Meydavud, Khuzestan, Iran, 16 Nov 1.36 pm (GMT +3:30)

Just 15 minutes ago, a 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck near the town of Rāmhormoz, Iran. The tremor was recorded around noon on Monday 16 November 2020 at 1.06 pm local time, at a very shallow depth of 6 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the Iranian Seismological Center (IRSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake was probably felt by many people in the area of the epicenter. It should not have caused significant damage, other than objects falling from shelves, broken windows, etc. Weak shaking might have been felt in Rāmhormoz (pop. 38,800) located 17 km from the epicenter, Rāmshīr (pop. 19,500) 53 km away, and Omīdīyeh (pop. 47,000) 55 km away.
