Significant magnitude 5.2 quake hits 61 km southwest of Murghab, Tajikistan in the morning

Just 13 minutes ago, a 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck near Murghab, Gorno-Badakhshan, Tajikistan. The tremor was recorded in the morning on Monday, September 27th, 2021, at 10:40 am local time, at a shallow depth of 10 km below the surface.
The event was filed by the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ), the first seismological agency to report it.
A second report was later issued by France's Réseau National de Surveillance Sismique (RéNaSS), which listed it as a magnitude 5.1 earthquake. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 4.9.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Murghab (pop. 10,800) located 61 km from the epicenter.
