Moderate tremor of magnitude 4.2 just reported 60 km northwest of Cintalapa de Figueroa, Mexico
4.2 quake 22 Nov 7:27 am (GMT -6)

An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 occurred in the morning on Monday, November 22nd, 2021, at 7:27 am local time near Cintalapa de Figueroa, Cintalapa, Chiapas, Mexico, as reported by Mexico's National Seismological Service (SSN).
According to preliminary data, the quake was located at an intermediate to considerable depth of 160 km. The strength of the earthquake may have been tempered by its relative great depth below the surface, which makes it feel weaker in absolute terms. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 4.2 earthquake as well.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In San Francisco la Paz (pop. 630, 5 km away), La Horqueta (Poblado Doce) (pop. 1,500, 19 km away), Helio Garcia Alfaro (pop. 1,600, 29 km away), Poblado 10 (pop. 3,300, 43 km away), Raudales Malpaso (pop. 6,800, 58 km away), Cintalapa de Figueroa (pop. 42,500, 60 km away), Jiquipilas (pop. 9,900, 67 km away), and Santo Domingo Zanatepec (pop. 7,200, 67 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
