A shallow magnitude 4.6 earthquake was reported in the evening near Luwuk, Kabupaten Banggai, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the quake hit on Friday, April 1st, 2022, at 8:22 pm local time at a shallow depth of 10 km. Shallow earthquakes are felt more strongly than deeper ones as they are closer to the surface.
