Small magnitude 3.3 quake hits 43 miles southwest of Malaga, Texas, United States in the evening

Just 22 minutes ago, a 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Malaga, Eddy County, New Mexico, USA. The tremor was recorded in the evening on Wednesday, April 27th, 2022, at 8:44 pm local time, at a very shallow depth of 3.2 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake which listed the quake at magnitude 3.3 as well. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 3.4.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Malaga (pop. 150, 43 miles away), Loving (pop. 1,400, 46 miles away), and Van Horn (pop. 1,900, 50 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
