OP Webmaster Launch Director Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 678,976 Los Angeles, USA	Moderate magnitude 4.5 earthquake 81 km southwest of Ishqoshim, Pakistan 4.5 quake 21 Jun 5:19 am (GMT +4:30) An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 occurred early morning on Tuesday, June 21st, 2022, at 4:49 am local time near Ishqoshim, Ishkoshim, Gorno-Badakhshan, Tajikistan, as reported by India's National Center for Seismology (NCS). According to preliminary data, the quake was located at an intermediate to considerable depth of 180 km. The strength of the earthquake may have been tempered by its relative great depth below the surface, which makes it feel weaker in absolute terms. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report. According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Ishqoshim (pop. 26,000, 81 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
