India's domestic air travel not only rebounded to pre-Covid levels but also surpassed last year's figures. DGCA data for January-December 2023 reveals a record-breaking 15.2 crore domestic air travelers - the highest ever in India. After a dip to 6.3 crore in 2020 due to a two-month flight suspension, recovery began with 8.4 crore in 2021 and escalated to 12.3 crore in 2022. Last year witnessed a historic high, with more people choosing domestic air travel than ever before. Source: At 15.2 cr, last yr saw more domestic flyers than pre-Covid 2019
