3.7 quake 4 Km SW of Salcha, Alaska, Feb 22, 2024 05:54 pm (Anchorage time)

A magnitude 3.7 earthquake near Badger, Fairbanks North Star, Alaska, USA, was reported only 3 minutes ago by the United States Geological Survey, considered the key international and national agency that monitors seismic activity in the US. The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of 7.2 miles beneath the epicenter in the afternoon on Thursday, February 22nd, 2024, at 5:54 pm local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
