Small 3.8 quake hits near Denali National Park, Denali, Alaska, USA 3.8 quake 19 Sep 8:02 pm (GMT -8) The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 3.8 quake in the United States near Denali National Park, Denali, Alaska, only 3 minutes ago. The earthquake hit in the evening on Thursday, September 19th, 2024, at 8:02 pm local time at an intermediate depth of 76 miles. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report. A second report was later issued by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), which listed it as a magnitude 3.8 earthquake as well. According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Denali National Park (pop. 220, 46 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
