Moderate magnitude 4.3 quake hits 4 km southwest of Chiba, Japan after midnight 4.3 quake 4.1 km south of Chiba, Chiba, Japan, Nov 5, 2024 12:10 am (GMT +9) An intermediate magnitude 4.3 earthquake was reported after midnight near Chiba, Chiba-shi, Japan.
According to Japan's National Research Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience (NIED), the quake hit on Tuesday, November 5th, 2024, at 12:10 am local time at an intermediate depth of 71.2 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
