Magnitude 4.0 earthquake strikes near Pokhara, Kaski, Gandaki Pradesh, Nepal

Just 31 minutes ago, a 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck near Pokhara, Kaski, Gandaki Pradesh, Nepal. The tremor was recorded early morning on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025, at 3:26 am local time, at a shallow depth of 18. km below the surface.
The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Pokhara (pop. 200,000) located 16 km from the epicenter.
