An earthquake of magnitude 3.7 occurred only 5 minutes ago 14 miles northwest of Brawley, California, United States, the United States Geological Survey reported.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 6.6 miles beneath the epicenter near Brawley, Imperial County, California, USA, early morning on Friday, July 11th, 2025, at 2:55 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
A second report was later issued by The Incorporated Research Institutions for Seismology (IRIS), which listed it as a magnitude 3.8 earthquake. A third agency, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), reported the same quake at magnitude 3.8.
