Moderate 4.6 quake hits near Bengkulu, Kota Bengkulu, Indonesia An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 occurred around noon on Sunday, August 3rd, 2025, at 12:34 pm local time near Bengkulu, Kota Bengkulu, Indonesia, as reported by Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency.
According to preliminary data, the quake was located at a shallow depth of 25. km. Shallow earthquakes are felt more strongly than deeper ones as they are closer to the surface.
