Moderate 4.9 quake hits near Surigao, Surigao del Norte, Caraga, Philippines

Just 8 minutes ago, a 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck near Surigao, Surigao del Norte, Caraga, Philippines. The tremor was recorded early morning on Tuesday, September 9th, 2025, at 2:52 am local time, at an intermediate depth of 134. km below the surface.
The event was filed by Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency, the first seismological agency to report it.
