Small tremor of magnitude 2.7 just reported 5 km northwest of Molina de Segura, Spain Just 29 minutes ago, a 2.7-magnitude earthquake struck near Molina de Segura, Murcia, Spain. The tremor was recorded in the morning on Friday, October 31st, 2025, at 10:34 am local time, at a very shallow depth of 2. km below the surface. The event was filed by Spain's Instituto Geográfico Nacional (IGN), the first seismological agency to report it. Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter. Weak shaking might have been felt in Lorqui (pop. 6,300) located 1 km from the epicenter, and Archena (pop. 18,200) 5 km away. Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Molina de Segura (pop. 64,100) located 5 km from the epicenter, Las Torres de Cotillas (pop. 21,100) 7 km away, Alcantarilla (pop. 41,100) 14 km away, Murcia (pop. 460,300) 16 km away, and Santomera (pop. 15,300) 18 km away. In Cieza (pop. 35,200, 22 km away), and Orihuela (pop. 86,200, 27 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
