Moderate magnitude 4.5 earthquake 49 km south of Miangas, Indonesia

An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 occurred only 18 minutes ago 49 km south of Miangas, Indonesia, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.
The quake hit at a very shallow depth of 6. km beneath the epicenter near Miangas, Sulawesi Utara, Indonesia, early morning on Monday, November 24th, 2025, at 6:18 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
