Moderate magnitude 4.7 quake hits 112 km southeast of Gorontalo, Indonesia in the afternoon

An earthquake of magnitude 4.7 occurred in the afternoon on Monday, January 12th, 2026, at 4:39 pm local time near Gorontalo, Kota Gorontalo, Indonesia, as reported by Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency.
