Moderate earthquake of magnitude 4.8 just reported 15 km southwest of Dompu, Indonesia

An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 occurred early evening on Monday, February 16th, 2026, at 7:42 pm local time near Dompu, Dompu Regency, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, as reported by Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency.
According to preliminary data, the quake was located at an intermediate depth of 113. km. The strength of the earthquake may have been tempered by its relative great depth below the surface, which makes it feel weaker in absolute terms.
