Magnitude 4.7 earthquake strikes near Ambon, Kota Ambon, Maluku, Indonesia

Just 14 minutes ago, a 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck near Ambon, Kota Ambon, Maluku, Indonesia. The tremor was recorded early morning on Thursday, April 16th, 2026, at 1:55 am local time, at an intermediate depth of 131. km below the surface.
The event was filed by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the first seismological agency to report it.
