Small magnitude 3.0 quake hits 3 km west of San Jose del Cabo, Mexico in the afternoon The citizen-seismograph network of RaspberryShake reported a magnitude 3.0 quake in Mexico near San Jose del Cabo, Los Cabos, Estado de Baja California Sur, only 14 minutes ago. The earthquake hit in the afternoon on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026, at 4:25 pm local time at a shallow depth of 10. km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report. Towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include El Ejido (pop. 16) located 2 km from the epicenter, San Jose del Cabo (pop. 136,300) 3 km away, La Playa (pop. 1,400) 7 km away, Las Veredas (pop. 10,500) 11 km away, Las Palmas (pop. 11,600) 25 km away, Colonia del Sol (pop. 48,000) 25 km away, and Cabo San Lucas (pop. 202,700) 26 km away. In Miraflores (pop. 1,400, 35 km away), and El Pescadero (pop. 2,300, 56 km away), the quake was probably not felt.
