all lnb's do the same job

the difference between 11300 and universal

is that universal covers a wider range of frequencies from 10.70 to 12.75 while the 11300 only does 12.25Ghz to 12.75Ghz

for optus b3 satellite ur better off getting the 11300 lnb

[ 10. So universal LNB has wider range, while 11300 has smaller range, but stronger signal?

But with Acer 11300Mhz I will not be able to get frequences that universal LNB can get, right?

anyway I am off to buy Acer 11300Mhz. Just for optus B3.
thanks

ilya

From previous experience, Universal LNB is not suitable to work with MDS Boxes as they have some weird problems for detecting signals......

How did it happened? Were you watching the channel when it happened? If the message come up while it was on standby and just turned on then it might be an ECM disabling the the card merging with the system. If the message was on when turned on after the installation/channel search completed then you definatelly have a wrong car inserted to the box as its serial no not married with the box's serial no in the flash. if you have a subscription to UBI then call the tech support and give them your box and card serial numbers so they can send an ECM to fix the problem. It all depends on your situation.

[ 12. January 2005, 10:22 AM: Message edited by: fsking ]
