Vlad<br /><br />TV+ is supplying before end of year new IRD's (settop) boxes for PAS8 Balkan customers. All TV+ boxes are Irdeto Compliant with unique Irdeto Software Keys configed for TV+. TV+ is using Irdeto V4 & V5 with the latest security and card marrage to STB.<br /><br />TV+ is only providing FTA till new boxes are in. Last I heard 2000 would be air freighted in around the 28th of Dec with a further 2000 on ship 7th of Jan.<br /><br />MENTOR (MDS) settop box is a piece of crap,, no company in their right mind would dream of using these "former TARBS" STB's to build a platform..<br /><br />Already said in previous posts the MDS boxes were so well hacked because of the access to the MDS data streem on Thaicom 3 feeds that all over ASIA - Indonesia and Vietnam & Africa people watched for "free" the former tarbs feeds..<br /><br />Any company including UBI if they want to have a future need to invest in a bullit proof platform like Irdeto 4 or 5.<br /><br />Now 1 more thing..<br /><br />TV+ will not encrypt all the time.. they have taken a leaf from the UBI book.<br /><br />Encrypt for 8 - 10hrs of the day on and off..<br /><br />Customers with TARBS FTA boxes will call up everytime the signal goes off for them.. <br /><br />Customer provides TV+ details - courier takes new TV+ box out and collects old MDS box..<br /><br />Customer then with TV+ box watches TV+ signal.<br /><br />Signal will not be completly encrypted till end of Jan or when TV+ has 4000 customers which ever is earlier..<br /><br />Does this clear it up for you all???<br /><br />Need more info???<br /><br />Cheers

Vlad,<br /><br />Issue will be that the quality may not change till after the new year and possibly as far out as FEB.<br /><br />QoS will change when the content is PAL all the way not the NTSC conversion which BK & PINK is curretly experiencing.<br /><br />Issues is any delays in the hardware that needs to be installed in either London or Napa will be the hold up to QoS improving..<br /><br />But I have been advised that it has been ordered and we are just waiting for the relavent installs to take place..<br /><br />Cheers

on BN TV on B3 its showing a scrolling msg at the bottom of the screen says sumthin bout pas8 and tv plus anyone able to translate it??
