For TV Polonia Viewers.. SBS Radio on the weekend announced some good news.. Tv Polonia is coming back..(10 to 15 days) Bad News... UBI will not get the contract.. So Much for the advertising.. It would appear they will be using Globe Cast as the preffered supplier.. A small company called Puma Media has the contract.. Their new website will be www.pumamedia.com.au and www.tvpolonia.com.au. These websites are as yet to appear.. The Specs will be Freq: 12654 Sym:30000 2/3.. Thats as much as the SBS radio website is publishing.. So I guess UBI hasnt got the contract.. Maybe someone can answer??? Is Globecast linked to TV PLUS???

What I dont understand is Why they are advertising TV Polonia on B3?? I know TV PLUS is PAS 8.. So it would appear that they will send the free to air stuff on B3 and then make you change to PAS 8?? I have a Humax box which I use for other free to air stations which I think is cabale of IRDETO do you think a smart card is all I will need.. This would have to be cheaper option rather then purchasing a whole new box??

panorama tv is ..jut bunch off varity off UBI channels whats the point of braodcasting it..it has rotana music sumtimes and they have other arabic channels and broadcast in that channel so i dont think its a good aportunity to make that channel available on ubi.no use of it

i think the purpose of that channel is cause they time shift alot of programs and put the good shows on to suit Australian times as some thing are on late at night or early in the morning if u know what i mean

Guys. Here is an interesting one... I emailed UBI to see what they have to say about the Polish Channel.. TV Polonia... Now we know that Puma Media have the contract ( Globecast) and I was wondering why UBI are still advertising it.. Here is the response I got<br /><br />"Thanks for taking the time to contact UBI World TV.<br /><br />We are still in the process of finalising our complete channel line-up for all languages we want to bring to Australia. At the moment we only have encrypted our Arabic and Turkish services. We are still working on our future Spanish, Balkan, Polish, Greek and Filipino packages.<br /><br />Unfortunately, we are still negotiating with Polish broadcasters to get the signal for some Polish channels in Australia, but since this type of contract takes a long time to negotiate, this process has not been finalised and we are unable to provide you with an estimate date as yet.<br /><br />Please be assured UBI World TV is very interested in having Polish channels as soon as possible in its platform."<br /><br />Anyone care to shed some light as to why they think they can still get hold of a channel that is already signed up with another company???
