All I can say, if ubi doesn't do time delaying, there is not many turkish people around me would subscribe.

it's their choice.

Sharp,

It's very simple if you don't want to join UBI as there is no Vizyon then don't. You can wait for it to start and then join. Most Turkish people still want to join without Vizyon.

No other language service has a time delay either and I'm not happy with some of my shows being shown early in the morning and there is nothing I can do about it unless I record the show and watch it after work.

None of the Arabic channels had time delay and and there are a lot of Arab subscribers and do you see people complain? even the GREEK channels had time delay and its not even as big as the Arab subscribers
So I say, you have your turkish channels so enjoy them, better than not having any at all.

I don't get people. I remember my old man spending over $200 in early 80's for a short wave radio just to listen to static that sometimes sounded like Turkish radio. Then middle 80's there was the video which I remeber cost us over $1000 and hiring tapes was around $10 a movie. Since then we have had a string of Video shops hiring out bad quality tapes that usually ended up damaging your video. We now have the privilege of watching LIVE programs at a cost of $2 a day. I agree with Dan04,make the most of what you have. I suppose you just can't please everyone.

Guys, I went through the same shit problems as most ethnics did and believe me or not but I'm very glad to see those channels transferred live in Australia. ShaRp's point and what I'm totally agree with that is the majority of the programs Turkish ppl likes/wants to watch are very late at night or very early in the morning, therefore ppl used to setup timer recording in a VCR and record the most wanted and missed out the rest. When Tarbs introduced VIZYON TV, they conbined most of the Turkish channels with their very famous series/programs and re-transmitted @ much proper time of the day. That's the platform we were discussing. If we take your comment as "enjoy what you have and shut up" then there will be no suggestions, no improvements with UBI as If no one tells them what needs to be done, they won't do it. It's that simple.

It's different when they make a suggestion and provide feedback but different when they go on and on about the same topic constantly about not joining UBI if there is no Vizyon.

UBI know that the Turkish would like Vizyon but there are other things to think about and work on before that can occur like finishing off the other packages first.

Look i have to agree that Vizyon was a great channel and that it is missed very much by the turkish community (including myself). But if we remember back to the time TARBS first died we had NOTHING except TRT which in my personal opinion isn't worth watching!! Therefore we should all be grateful for what we've got(especially LIG TV) and just hope that Vizyon or somethiing like it will be introduced by UBI in the future.

Gentlemens, I have no arguments for your views/comments as I agree most of them except that I never said "if no Vizyon - no Turkish subs". Offcourse, I'm very gratefull for what we have specially SHOW-TV & LIG-TV, and suggestions were made after reading some comments about the cost of the time delaying. We all are very happy for our Turkish channels as mentioned many times @ previous posts but it was just sharing the good and the bad sides of what we have now comparing with what we had in the past.. Please, do not threat those comments as winging, it was purely recommendations to pointout some solutions. I forgot to mention the most important thing about time-delaying for the channels, LIG-TV must be left in its original time frame as no one likes to watch live match as replay with its score known. Thanks for all the support... RE RE RE, RA RA RA, GALATASARAY, GALATASARAY, CIM BOM BOM...

[ 09. December 2004, 06:15 AM: Message edited by: fsking ]

Do you realy belive FB can beat Manchester United? They wouldn't even dream about this score. Why the hell, those idiots brought the 2nd team as replacements of the replacements to secure the loss versus FB. They should have scored more in the 2nd match so Daum could not become the hero from the zero!.

Don't forget, everybody will say FB is gonna win the match after seeing this victory over Manchester U. even FB players will be so friggen confident over winning. History shows that there is only GALATASARAY represents internationally without any shame and allways teach to those smart asses a good lesson.

Lucky man! I'm waiting for mine. I will try to watch it live even if I can't get the subs by time. I may go to my friend's place for weekend. Good luck to all of us. I hope we give them an unforgetable lesson with a good score.
-------------------------------------
GALATASARAY - THE BEST OF THE TURKISH FOOTBALL
CHAMPION OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2000
CHAMPION OF THE SUPER CUP 2000
