Arabic Channels to Encrypt<br />Yes you people out there watching it free to air The Arabic Package is about to encrypt sometime next week. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/default/smile.gif" />

The Arabic package will be encrypted on the 17th December 2004

Well that makes it better more free time, the Balkans should be happy,,,, there turn won't be then until the new year.

Looks like the Arabic channels have been encrypted abit early isent it wasent it suppose to happen on the 17th?

Yeah, All shows blank screen. Now its time for the rest as if UBI use this way to force the customers.

well its was goin to happen its just abit earlier then the date mentioned they mite also just be testing it tonite for the 17th hey may go FTA again duno will see but it was goin to happen anyway

now this has given the subscribers a 'shock' and shouldnt have left it to the last minute, trying to get FTA till the very last day

dnt know y they leave it to the last minute for they dnt get charged a subscription til they encrypt the channels

Still the 17th I think, they have a card showing it in Arabic

I'm still not receiving any channels. Is it just me or are UBI still testing encryption?

All you have to do now is position the dish to pas8 and watch WMI channels <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/default/smile.gif" /> 12646/28066 <br />Force remote update, and there they are <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/default/smile.gif" />

I don't want to Jinx my box (I probably have now)but I can still get the arabic channels using the tarbs(UBI) box and I haven't subscribed.<br /><br />mike

hmmmm..... I have a Tarbs box but dont use it!! My Hummie was giving me a blank screen with the arabic channels yesterday! Balkan channels are still showing though!! So I dont know whats the UBI thinking by encrypting the channels earlier!! Guess they wanna get some cash flow in before x-mas by forcing coustmers to join sooner and fast!! Get them and "Lock them into a contract"!! Well, I just shifted my Motec to PAS8 and watching WMI. I love my Motec (after getting it to work properly). Anyway, guess now I have to dig out the lovely Mentor box and subscribe to UBI! Or better still, try to get someone to hack it for me and its open for ever!!

Non-UBI boxes are having problems with the Arabic package at the moment. They are doing some final testing and shifting of channels before the launch. If you have a TARBS box and still having problems just call UBI and they will fix it over the phone for the free viewing.

They were last night when I checked them.or at least showed encrypted on the Nokia.

It seems like the Arabic channels are encrypted, I got a phone call today from a freind and said, I can't watch arabic channels since yesterday and he uses a TARBS decoder box.

I can't get Arabic on Humax. So I dug out my ex tarbs box from the garage and using the code and info from this forum, I managed to get it going.<br /><br />I am now getting three arabic channels, but no Al-Arabia or syria and a few more. instead of lyngsat listing them on the main optus b3 page he list them in a separate page called a package which if u press the "P" there it will take u there and show u all the channels UBI have <br /><br />http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/ubioptusb3.html

Sharp, I have just set up my Tarbs box (not subscribed)and I am getting many turkish channels

Eddie, could you please confirm the Turkish channel list that are viewable with no subs.
