Hi everyone. Just joined your forum.<br />Trying to set up a tarbs stb 3100 to pick up optus b3. Are you on Optus B3?, if you have just joined do some reading as Phil has said before that these Tarbs boxes don't like to be played with and you could stuff it. plus reply to this post exactly what you want to do and if your lucky LIKSI will answer it for you. Does any one know if the original smart card and the chanells alocated by tarbs can be removed, or what procedure is required to receive free to air chanels.<br />Thanks<br />Vlas </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Vlas I would take a guess you are after the Balkans channels so Please follow hints below.<br />1/ Is your dish on Optus B3<br />2/ If not you need to get it moved to optus B3, and PLEASE don't forget that the LNB has to be re adjusted if it was on Pas 8 and now it will be on Optus B3 it will have to be turned a little clockwise (looking from front)<br />3/ DO Not use the tarbs box to find Optus B3 if the Box still has the freq from Pas 8 TARBS days.<br />VERY IMPORTANT!!!,,, If a friend or family member has a dish on Optus B3 WORKING Take you box over there and stick the freq / Symbol rate in and make sure the box comes up with all the channels but they are encrypted so your box will show "NOT AUTHORISED", then shut the box down turn the 240 Volts off wait 20 seconds, then turn the 240 Volts back on and checked that it has remembered its new freq Etc for Optus B3. now that you have done this twice the box can be taken to your house to find Optus B3, Again Its just about impossible to find a New satellite when the setting have not been locked in first using the TARBS box, some have not<br />followed this and they have trashed their box.<br />4/If your not good at this please get help as its like looking for a needle in a hey stack<br />5/ Most Balkans people have been enjoying there channels for months free to air, I have a feeling they will be encrypted soon, your're a bit late your luck you will get the dish moved and a day later they will encrypt.<br />Phil
