Speaking of being proactive, Liski, I noticed a couple of days ago that the Bulgarian channel's sound was clipping. Can you check it and fix it?

Who is it in UBI that keeps playing with the audio Input’s! If you want to listen to it louder, up the volume on the TV, not the feed’s audio level!!!

Vlad...

There is a device called Signal Stabilizer which controls the Audio Signal input and corrects the waveshape and the amplitude of the signal so you allways get same Audio level to feed your transmitter. If someone has a bit of Electronics knowledge, can fix this issue with an analog signal control circuit....

[ 16. hey fsking,

Do people still come up to you and ask you to have a look at their TV?

But I love it when they say "It must be a resistor, fuse or something...", to which I reply: "well if you know what it is, fix it then!"

Vlad...

Vlad, Its not just only TVs! anything to do with the friggen electrical/electronics, I am called the mr fixman. I used to own and run a Business in Sydney for Computers & Electronics Sale & Service. Ppl knows me from that time and expects good favour all the time. Specially, my ethnic ppl loves to get the things fixed at no cost, and there is allways a way around to get me on it. I do those kind of staff without any charge like friggen santa/robin hood type work...but sometimes, you want to have a bit of relaxed time when you visit your friends without any friggen checkup/fixing request....What can we do? its the life of and electronic man....

[ 16. fsking,
Oh yeah...everything else too but TV's are a clasic!
They are the simplest things to fix, cause its allways a resistor or fuse.

Sheesh, Im sure they went to Dick Smith and asked the guy at the counter: "What are your 2 least expensive electronic parts you sell?"

heheheheeee,
And the guy behind the counter answers quitelly, resistors, capacitors and also free mags if you like. Then, Master of the mind game walks out with 120% more confidence that the cost of this fix will be peanuts for him.......

[ 16. Vlad,
I just figured out that if the guy feels his mind/brain capacity to make the judgement about a basic of electronics, he/she should also be capable of remebering capacitor from his capacity...
No, you were right, It's a bit difficult to remember compare to a fuse which is used in every electronics and mostly no cost to replace at home power distribution board. Therefore their judgement is right! it must be fuse and doesn't need a thing, just turn it friggen on, its like a CB "Circuit Breaker" in their mind...

[ 16. u guys are sooo lucky.. u only get electronical requests.

i have high school degreee in electronics, bechalor and master degrees in mechanical engineering and PhD in chemical engineering.

so i have no right to have something broken/unfixed.

and the most annoying thing is that people go "aren't u an engineer" if they see something i can't repair.

ShaRp, I'm just wondering How did you manage to get all mixed up. It sounds like you have the right path in the mechanical engineering having BSc & MSc degrees then why PhD in chemical engineering?

some subjects of mechanical engineering of turkey are in chemical engineering borders in australia. like process design, combustion etc.

but more importantly, i could only get the scholarship from chemical engineering

[ 16.
