Hi,

I've been watching this forum for a while, and now have a question ask.

How can I get a UBI receiver? I contacted UBI customer service and they said they haven't got any. They gave me the names of a couple of suppliers in Melbourne who can supply such receivers (at your own risk). However, I am sceptical about dealing with third parties.

Is UBI going to ever supply receivers? How else can I buy a receiver?

Thanks.

You need to call the Preferred Installers to purchase UBI-compatible decoders.

Any how... UBI needs to get its act together and start supplying new customers with receivers.. It is rediculous to send them out to shop for receivers in the not-so-open market.

This is actually a very good question. I live in Nairobi, Kenya and I watch BK TV on Telstar 10. Believe it or not, I actually get the signal with a 1.8m antenna, although the signal gets a lot of interference in the afternoons from mobile phones because, I've been told, they use similar frequencies. But I have no access to BN TV since it's encrypted. So how am I supposed to buy a receiver if I live in Africa?

Even if you get a UBI receiver, you still need to get a subscription to receive the encrypted signals in that box. So, I do not expect UBI selling subscription in Africa as yet...

There is no sub required for viewing ubi off Telstar ...big smile just ask your friendly sat dealer for the pre - modified box.

You may locate one at one of the ex African tarb's agents

bigger smile.....

Thanks for the info but it may be no longer relevant. BK TV was taken off of Telstar 10 yesterday -- I'm awaiting an update on lyngsat to confirm if BN Sat has been taken off as well.
