I'm not so blind about ubi/pbs and others as some of you guys are.

Reality guys
You see on the PBS page they list a load of fantasy channels that they don't even have! listed as coming soon.

For Example
English TV1
English TV2
English Tv3
English TV4
Sports TV
and 13 other radios coming soon.

The world is a strange place, with a lot of strange people in it.
I ask you - how come, if PBS is "the worlds WORST pay tv service" (apsattv's words), it is outselling Fiji TV's service ?
Get the facts first before shooting your biased mouth off.

Yes they might be fantasy channels but they might change soon. I can tell you this the $$$ that PBS is pulling in is being re-invested back in PBS to provide a better service for its customers.
And when it comes to fantasy you should look at Foxtel thats where the real Fantasy is LIES ! LIES! more LIES What would happen if UBI Told its customers this that the New boxes are now DIGITAL. The Stupid public are beleiving this rubbish LIES From foxtel that their new NDS service is Digital and the Old Irdeto 2 service is analogue. Now this is Fantasy and yet most don't even want to talk about it.

Arrgggh well we all have a little Bias in us and mine is not with anything that Murdoch owns or touches. Was asked a question by our local publican at the local hotel as he knows me and my dishes. He asked me is this new digital service really better in quality? I said NO!! Its just a dishonest sales pitch. I wonder how long it will be before a disgrunted Pub/Club takes them to court for false advertising. Its just a well this Publican doesn't care anymore but they might pick on the wrong one if
pushed this way.
So in other words foxtel don't peeee to many people off otherwise they might go around and tell all the ignorant publicans of this lie because its getting well known.

Tell me something, PBS is listed as having 11 TV channels +2 radio on Lyngsat (not sure how uptodate his pbs list is)

How are UBI going to add these 4 english TV channels + 1 sports TV channel +13 other radios?

16 channels and 15 radio on the one transponder? there isn't any extra capacity on 701 KU remember. That's why Fiji TV ended up on Cband.

Yep Bob and Mr Clarke are obviously good friends.

Personally I feel Fiji TV was one cockup after the other!

especially the fact Satfacts magazine pushed it as going to be a FTA channel.

Typical lies pushed by Pay tv companies.
Out of all the pay tv companies in Australia from Foxtel to tv plus including dead tarbs the tarbs was the most honest out of the lot of them.
look at the tricks, intimidation foxtel are pushing
friends of mine that have foxtel were pushed to change their so called analog box to the new technology digital because he also was told it gave inferior pictures only now to find out it was a pile of lies from a engineer friend. How desperate is Australies biggest desperate pay tv company, now we won't talk about tv plus, and for UBI they promised the good Balkans channels but they were ripped out of there hands and still have nothing for us.

UBI are not very good business people. You would think that they would have moved heaven and earth to get Greek and Italian channels as these two ethnic groups are by far the largest and hence the most lucrative to their bottom line. But the fact is they don't even have one Greek or Italian channel. What a **** up!

Those Greek channels are not even coming as the Greeks are not silly enough to do business with UBI.

paphos74,

UBI never once said that they will offer an Italian Package.

Just because you think that Greek and Italian are the two largest and most lucrative doesn't mean that actually was the case for TARBS.

The Greek channels are coming just takes time.

Please take your negativity elsewhere.

Hi,

Unwired is set to start later this month. Will just have to wait to see the effects it has on the fiji tv signals. If there is any interference then it willl be an interesting battle between Fiji Tv and unwired fiji.

Rgrds
SK.

Hi Big Chief,

Sky pacific subs are F$399 for the decoder & 1.2M dish plus $55/M for 11 channels. Apart from the rugby the rest of the programs are mostly remuxed. Sky pacific is only good if you are an avid rugby fan. It shows all the sanzar matches plus internationals. Personally I don't think F$55/m is worth it.
