The former TARBS CEO is one of the investors in UBI WORLD TV

UBI and TARBS are the same!<br /><br />They have the some directors, they operate out of the same office using the same technical facilities and the same equipment. They are both run by Mr Boulos.<br /><br />The only difference is the spelling!<br /><br />How can anyone believe that "no UBI subscriber will be out of pocket" after TARBS history in ripping subscribers off?<br /><br />Notice how they are trying to keep this quiet as long as possible so as not to disrupt sales of soon to be usless MDS STBs - happy to lure new subs to pay $300 for a STB that will only work for a couple of months. TV_Nerd,<br /><br />Please get your facts right before you jump to conclusions as many others do on here.<br /><br />It's best for a customer to subsribe now with an MDS IRD. They will continue viewing and will be given a new IRD free of charge as stated by myself multiple times.<br /><br />I think you need to go back and read this thread and other threads before jumping to conclusions.<br /><br />Did you work at TARBS - do you know what really happened? Our CEO has met with Mr. Boulos on two ocassions, and both time he introduced himself as the owner of UBI.<br /><br />I don't understand why you try and hide the fact, Mr. Boulos owned TARBS which was forced into receivership by PanAmSat owing them $30,000,000.<br /><br />UBI was started by Mr Boulos a year latter (after being arrested at Sydney airport on fraud charges) in the same premises, using the same conditional access and STBs (TARBS/UBI are ane of the few MDS users in the world).<br /><br />If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck ......

Actually the CEO of UBI is Mr Boulos' wife (who's family is worth alot of money) But as Mr Boulos is currently bankrupt he is using his wife's name to run UBI. <br />AS I said before, Why didn't UBI just begin using the the IRD2 boxes in the first place? <br />Would it have been easier than to go through all this trouble now due to piracy wich they new was always a problem even from the days of TARBS?<br />Nobody can answere this question can they?

I'm sure that TARBS creditors and the ATO will be relieved to hear that Mr Boulos has lots of $$$$$ to buy STBs because these people are owed many millions.....

I think you wil find Mentor Data Systems went down the tubes about a year ago. So new MDS units may not be available. <br /><br />AS for the creditors they didn't act on a lot of info given to them as far as assetts are concerned...

UBI claimed that RIK Sat was exclusive to UBI. But the facts are they did not even have a contract with RIK Sat. This is just one example. There are probably a lot more.

People can issue their comments to your suggestions/comments. Liski would be the able to comment on that as he puts out official UBI releases on this forum to clarify your comments.

I was no more off topic than other posts above. I was just answering Lazersat's question which was which channels UBI have claimed as exclusive which in fact they were not. The answer is RIK. UBI only admitted that it was not exclusive when they were confronted with their false assertion. And in actual fact there has been no contract in place, but UBI still claimed exclusive rights. So, if they told lies about this, I wonder what else they are fibbing about.

Are UBI going to send a letter to all current subcribers giving a detailed description of the change over process and the time frame. reuder,<br /><br />For someone who isn't a UBI subscriber you sure do care a lot.<br /><br />UBI will provide every valid UBI subscriber who has joined before 28 April 06 a FREE upgrade. The UBI IRD will remain the property of UBI WORLD TV.<br /><br />And finally I don't think it's a conflict of interest.

That's why it's always best to wait for all the information to be released.<br /><br />That's why sometimes I don't wish to post information when the information at hand is not ready.<br /><br />Also keep an eye out for a new on-air announcement.

Do we have a time frame for switch over to the new system yet and if we need a new STB is the installation and set up also to be part of the free box upgrade
