Hi all,<br /><br />As you may have gathered, UBI has lost the rights to broadcast a few mediocre "Serb" SAT TV programs.<br /><br />Today, UBI wasn't the only looser. Today, yet again, we, the viewers (customers) lost too. Today competition was destroyed and there is only one mob, which has monopoly over the Serbian content.<br /><br />Not all is lost, though. UBI is currently building a base station in Skopje (Macedonia) and the one in Greece is nearly complete! This will most certainly enable us Balkan descents to view and listen to, a whole assortment of Balkan TV and Radio programs. Much better quality than the crap available now! I'm talking about the crap they are packaging for us "Diaspora" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/default/rolleyes.gif" /> <br /><br />Now until this happens, there will be some time involved but just have a look at our Spanish mates. They waited and look at what they got! Superb picture and sound quality and an assortment of channels to view! Let me not even start talking about the <strong>value</strong> the Arab community got (over 20 channels and more to come for the same price).<br /><br />So while you wait and if you're, like me, not going to sign some stupid 12 month $65 per month contract for 3 crap quality channels, then you may get ADSL for much lower price and watch BK-SAT live and RTS (Radio Televizija Serbia) free. Dear Vlad & All<br /><br />I said some time ago that once the case finished TV Plus would quickly address the previous raised issues. Quality will be fixed and more channels will come & at NO EXTRA COST.<br /><br />Channels current on air NOW<br /><br />Pink Plus<br />Pink Extra<br />BN<br />BHTV1<br />BK (currently service suspended due to technical issue, expected to return in the next 2-3 weeks)<br /><br />Channels Pending in the comming weeks<br />RTS of Serbia<br /><br />& additional channels from Macedonia & Croatia & Bosnia will be launched shortly.

what might be those additional channels from bosnia? Theres basically only three channels there, OBN, Hayat and BHTV1 on satellite. OBN&Hayat is on UBI, and BHTV1 is on TV Plus. So i dont see what other channels there is to get from that country <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/default/confused.gif" />

and FYI that BHTV only runs 12 hours a day, and everytime something is in english or a sport is on the signal cuts. I would hardly even call it a proper channel

no offense to Serbians but good luck with TV Minus getting any Croatian Channels. In North America and Australia, they've joined forces with Hungarian TV.<br /><br />Picture of Croatia is not or never will be part of UBI or TV-

Serbian viewers consider this.....<br /><br />What would you rather do?<br /><br />Would you rather sign up with TV+ for a minimum of 15 months crap quality tv (yes a minimum of 15 months. The terms clearly state: "You must acquire the Service for at least the Committed Term, which is 12 months. You may cancel the Service after the Committed Term by giving 90 days written notice to TV Plus.")<br /><br />OR<br /><br />For the same amount of money you would have spent on 2 years of watching crap TV+, you can buy yourself a plane ticket and go to Serbia (or wherever) and still watch the UBI fta channels for FREE.<br /><br />Imagine that? The only channels that are available via sat from Croatia are Nova and RTL (as far as i know). Now unless they make special UBI versions i don't see them becoming available because they carry alot of English programming. With that we get the whole arguement about program right etc etc. So for that reason I don't think we'll be getting those channels as they are now. Although I would really like to get them, I don't think it'll happen.

If UBI won the court case, it would've been turned right around. I think to most serbs Pink and co, are the main channels people want.

I think Darth Vader was right when he called them mediocre channels. Actually, Pink channels are less then mediocre - they're simply rubbish.<br />Glad they're not going to be on UBI.

Well the Family just came back from holiday in Bali and now we see that there is No competition for our channels. I despised TARBS because I though they were evil but I think the devil you know is better then the devil you don't know. But in the 3 months we have been Holidaying in Europe and finished in Bali we come back home and we see that UBA has a better package for all languages except our home channels.<br />I need to do some reading but by the look at it this plus tv company looks like bigger crooks than tarbs ever dreamed to be. So we have to pay $65 for their 4 channels or is it 5?, thats a bit over the top for so few channels.<br />What is going on??<br />By the way don't go to Bali, no it has nothing to do with the drug Lady being jailed, it has to be the biggest shit hole on earth. In one week my little brother got bashed and robbed only to come back to the Hotel and it was cleaned out. We were propositioned by a 12 year old and minutes later they tried to blackmail us for money with a photo of me talking to the 12 year old slut and it was just as well my wife witnessed the whole thing.<br />I have been to Bali 3 times in 5 years NEVER again. The place is not the same as it was before.<br />All the scum in that place want is your money. I will do some reading on other forums and newsgroups as I have been out of touch a bit with whats been going on. The only thing is from time to time we get to hear some good Serbian music but most of the time we have to put up with the shit they feed us in the Diaspora. What even makes it shittier, apsattv, is the fact that the quality of the broadcast of the Serbian channels on TV+ is pathetic, shit, crap... The sound is low and distorted, mono and the picture is soooo fuzzy (due to the PAL-NTSC-PAL conversion). I don't even watch that shit anyway...It's my inlaws that watch it. Sure, Pink has made a program that is designed for us menthols in the Diaspora, but at least its Serbian language, the oldies can hear and it gives 'em joy.<br />It's for this reason that TV+ knows they can ask for any price irrespective if the oldies can cough up the doe or not. This is where we, the younger generation have to pitch in and get it for 'em as they, plainly cannot afford it!<br />Now when we obtain this service for them, we have a look at what we just signed up and see the crap that's being shoved down our throats...<br /><br />Add to this that we are now committed to a 15 Month contract for three shit channels (with no hope of English channels at all), you now see why I recon we have been delt a raw deal!!!<br />...and so on and so forth... Good quality signal would have to be sourced directly from europe but that would have to cost more and can Tv plus afford it. But now its directly taken from the US (cheaper)thus there is your problem.

This is what I'll do for even less than $65 a month:<br />1. Get a super fast broadband access<br />2. Set up a wireless home network<br />3. Get a media streaming device connected to my TV<br />4. Start watching live broadcasts from around the world as well as downloading and watching movies, concerts, TV series, etc.<br />And things will only get better (and cheaper). There's more and more content available by the day, from the Balkans as well, and I'm getting all other benefits like fast Internet, virtually free overseas phone calls, video conferencing, working from home, and who knows what else in the future.

Also if the bit rate was higher, and you were watching it alot, it would take up alot of your download limit.

Others have been installing the equipment in their exchanges, 8 Mbps is available already, more is coming, this is where the future is people, don't get sucked into signing long term contracts for any electronic home service.

It might be available but as I said , its NOT available to the majority of us.<br /><br />If you are lucky enough to get it good luck to you , but you are in the vast minority.Most of us will be waiting years to get ADSL2.

no such thing as fast broadband in au. since we are all limited by download limits and to watch 1h of tv at a decent quality you would use up a shit load of MBs<br /><br />besides, the quality of serb tv on net is CRAP
