OK!!!!!! As you can see this is another topic on TV CHILE....ok...please, please, and a million times please.....KEEP IT CILIVILISED IN HERE!!!!!<br /><br />Please do not post if you are going to just talk crap about TV Chile and the chilean community....we dont need it here!!!<br /><br />I am just trying to get some answers on the picture quality on PAS8.....for some reason the picture quality on TV Chile is a too bright and programs look a bit funny, its like as when you increase the contrast on your TV and the picture looks too bright and hard to distingush between colours.....Is anyone having the same problem???

yeh looks the same here depends wat colors are on the screen and goes all bright and the tv chile logo is always blurry also

It is prob the NTSC > PAL conversion. UBI signal was from Europe so it wasn't converted from NTSC > PAL

been watching tv chile past week now and its looking much better now someone from selectv must be watching these forums as the quality has improved alot since day one <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/default/wink.gif" /> <br /><br />also i love this show on there were its got a whole bunch of ppl dancing think it called Rojo or sumthin some nice looking girls on there and good music to go with it im watching it like nearly every afternoon now LOL <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/default/grin.gif" />

TV Chile started broadcasting FTA on PAS8 July 11th 2005 <br /><br />They said that the signal would be FTA for 3 months from that date ( July 11th ) well its nearly here October 11th and no new channels yet on Selectv I wonder if there stil goin to encrypt as planned??

Thank you, we have installed some next generation MPEG encoders (Harmonic's DiciCom Electra) to try and optimise our picture quality. The TV Chile pictures come from the NAPA teleport and we use a high quality Snell and Wilcox standards converter to make them into PAL. The single hop from the US to end user helps as well.
