Rocket: Falcon 9 v1.1; Payload: Jason-3; Date: 17 January 2016, 1842 UTC; Launch site: Vandenberg Air Force Base, USA. The satellite was successfully placed into a 1,295 km x 1,320 km x 66.0 degrees orbit. However, the attempt to land the rocket's first stage on a barge failed. Source: Jason-3 launched but Falcon 9 first stage landing fails
