I wouldnt wait for UBI for english if I was you, I'd get Austar/foxtel, english could be months or years away.
It has been said since 2004/2005 that english will be on ubi once all the ethnic has finished and still waiting, we have just entered 2008 and still nothing, so I wouldnt wait. Are the Ethnic channels finished Professor? as you see there is something new popping up every so often...

is the english channels ganna be in 2015 as dan said that they said in 2004/05 and until now there is no news about that package??? If Liski says yes will that make you stop asking everyday for the past few weeks? How many times does Liski have to say there is no news about it for it to get thru to you? did i ask you?? no one gave me the english channels that was on tarbs as i wasn't even in australia in that time when the tarbs was avaliable.

But it seems like there is no chance of bringing those channels to our service....Im thinking of hooking up a cable from the Middle east to australia and watch free to air channels and great channels, I very long cable 4456.00000 mitres. Go for it !! it would most likely cost you more then $60 a month though hahaha :P well i think i doesn't cost more than $60 per month as you get great channels not like the channels in australia which it is shit channels..

I like how the three of us have a channel list on our avatar that tells UBI what we really need in the package  I have already decided,I have joined WMI for most the channels listed on the avator. Now whatever else WMI get is a bonus. Good for you wish you all the best with your new found wealth  i think there is better content in WMI as they have the best channels in australia from arab world..

I just need an answer for my question, Why does other countries like europe and middle east have the right to watch all those channels that we have with UBI,MYsat ect..for free where here in Australia we pay money!?....cant we just have a special satellite to reach Nilesat Arabsat..ect?

All those channels that are broadcast FTA over the Middle East and Europe and transmitted directly from the channels for viewing and distribution with little cost to the broadcasters/channels
No channel wants to pay to get there channels to Australia it just cost to much to bring them down under with no returns thats why channels sell there rights to companies like UBI etc to bring them here and charge for them to cover the costs for bringing the channels here
If you want to invest in this to bring channels here go for it but I think you will have alot of trouble finding investors to invest in such a project with no return with giving all channels FREE TO AIR and getting nothing in return....
Another thing is there is alot of Countries in the Middle East and Europe altogether so thats why any channel can be recieved with a small dish there as there all stuck together there and not all spread out like here
