What do you think!<br />Since the schools like surveys I have decided to do a survey myself. Mainly because of a friend of mine whose son has trouble with Female teachers at school<br />I would like some info from your kids, or your grandkids, cousins, nieces or whoever.<br />1/ Are there too many female teachers in Primary and high schools?<br />2/Regardless if the kids are a Boy or a girl who do they prefer to be taught by, Male or Female Teachers?<br />3/Give a sensible reason why they prefer to be taught by a Male or a Female teacher.<br /><br />Interesting what I saw on Satellite TV months ago what United Nations said was an unbalance in our teaching, Trust me I get to see some interesting things that are going on, I wonder if our Politicians were watching it too.??? Phil <br />Its funny you bring this topic up as we were just talking about it the other night.<br />Both my kids go to a private school and are both taught by male teachers, My daughter in year 8 prefers a male teacher over a female teacher any day as she is not used to it as back home (in South Africa) the private schools mainly have Male teachers and as for my son he also prefers a male teacher. He has his mother at home yelling at him and he doesn't want the same at school which did happen last year.<br />Here in Australia males are leaving the ranks in teaching and that is causing a problem, did you see the news if you got it up there that in Victoria the state schools which are prominently run by female teachers in the last 5 years has a record number of suspensions and expulsions against boys and when you interview the only male teacher at that school the teacher said Quote I have never had trouble with him or the others that have been expelled.<br />Now you ask the question why??? how can one teacher expel one young man when the other said clearly that he has NEVER had trouble with him<br /><br />Yes phil I saw that Video conference on Satellite, remember you gave me the Frequencies and it was very interesting and it is true. DON'T tinker with nature, there has to be a better balance between male and female teachers in any given school.<br /><br />MY sons last year at a private primary school he only had 8 male teachers out of 28 in total now thats not what United nations would call an unbalanced school. Its up to the Governments to address this matter before we have no more male teachers around especially in the public schools where this is worst.<br />Steve

Our three kids go to a public school here in Melbourne and only my daughter does not mind the female teachers but both of of sons would prefer male teachers.<br />Whats happened to all the male teachers today, 75% are female at our high school and the suspensions have gone through the roof in the last five years. this was bought up at our last P&C meeting and didn't the female teachers become defencive but figures don't lie, again around 75% of the teachers are female but so far this year we had a 100% suspension rate of 32 kids being suspended by female teachers.<br />Phil there need to be a equal amount of Male and Female teachers.<br />Fred <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="images/icons/default/mad.gif" />

Fred<br />My son and my daughter both go to Eatons Hill primary school in North Brisbane and I think out of 34 teachers only 3 or 4 are Male.<br />Now thats higher than 75%. The problem is males have been scared away from teaching for many reasons and unfortunately this is causing the problem and like United Nations said the government needs to address this problem aggressively but where are they going to get the Male teachers from.<br />I personally know two X male teachers that give it away because of possible litigation and the bitching of the female teachers ganging up against the male teachers causing it to be an unpleasant workplace.<br />Phil <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/default/smile.gif" />

I have to agree with you there are to many female teachers these days, most of the conflicts at our school happen between boys and the female teachers, and some of there points are valid too.<br />What has happened to all our male teachers??? for me Female teachers are a good prospect in primary schools but they should not have a strangle hold in any high school.<br />thumbs down time for big changes.<br />Peter <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/default/confused.gif" />

Phil<br />For once in my life I agree with you all, my opinion is female teachers are bitches and that's coming from a females mouth.<br />The last three years at high school I had nothing but clashes with one female teacher, what a horror, actually two of the girls at uni were taught by the same female teacher and they gave the same opinion.<br />I prefer male teachers as the female teachers continually raise their voices more than the males and I DON'T lIKE THAT.. <br />Cathy <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="images/icons/default/mad.gif" />

My son is in primary school but being to young he doesn't care.<br />But my daughter in high school well thats a different story she despises a female teacher who continually picks on her, this does not happen with the other female teachers but she prefers the only male teacher <br />Back in my school days it was 95% male teachers now its the other way around.<br />TIME FOR A CHANGE.<br />Peter
