Moderate magnitude 4.0 quake hits 35 miles northeast of Pedro Bay, Alaska, United States early morning

the United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 4.0 quake in the United States near Pedro Bay, Lake and Peninsula County, Alaska, only 9 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early morning on Thursday 18 February 2021 at 4:36 am local time at an intermediate depth of 73 miles. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.0 as well.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Pedro Bay (pop. 42, 35 miles away), and Anchor Point (pop. 1,900, 52 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
