A magnitude 4.6 earthquake near Madang, Madang Province, Papua New Guinea, was reported only 24 minutes ago by the United States Geological Survey, considered one of the key international agencies that monitor seismic activity worldwide. The earthquake occurred at an intermediate to considerable depth of 150 km beneath the epicenter in the evening on Saturday 20 February 2021 at 9:57 pm local time.
