Small tremor of magnitude 3.1 just reported 43 miles northwest of Toyah, Texas, United States
3.1 quake 1 Dec 1:55 am (GMT -6)

The United States Geological Survey reported a magnitude 3.1 quake in the United States near Toyah, Reeves County, Texas, only 19 minutes ago. The earthquake hit early morning on Wednesday, December 1st, 2021, at 1:55 am local time at a very shallow depth of 4.3 miles. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.1 as well.
According to preliminary calculations, we do not expect that the quake was felt by many people and did not cause any damage. In Toyah (pop. 98, 43 miles away), and Loving (pop. 1,400, 46 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
