Small magnitude 3.3 quake hits 33 miles south of Norman, Oklahoma, United States early afternoon

Just 11 minutes ago, a 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Norman, Cleveland County, Oklahoma, USA. The tremor was recorded early afternoon on Monday, December 20th, 2021, at 2:21 pm local time, at a very shallow depth of 0.9 miles below the surface.
The event was filed by the United States Geological Survey, the first seismological agency to report it.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 3.3 as well.
Based on the preliminary seismic data, the quake should not have caused any significant damage, but was probably felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.
Weak shaking might have been felt in Erin Springs (pop. 87) located 5 miles from the epicenter, and Lindsay (pop. 2,800) 6 miles away.
Other towns or cities near the epicenter where the quake might have been felt as very weak shaking include Pauls Valley (pop. 6,200) located 18 miles from the epicenter. In Duncan (pop. 23,200, 29 miles away), Chickasha (pop. 16,500, 30 miles away), Norman (pop. 120,300, 33 miles away), Moore (pop. 60,500, 40 miles away), Midwest City (pop. 57,200, 48 miles away), Oklahoma City (pop. 631,300, 49 miles away), and Lawton (pop. 96,700, 49 miles away), the quake was probably not felt.
