India's National Center for Seismology (NCS) reported a magnitude 4.9 quake in Nepal near Hetauda, Makwanpur, Bagmati Province, only 17 minutes ago. The earthquake hit in the morning on Monday, December 27th, 2021, at 9:19 am local time at a shallow depth of 10 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
