An earthquake of magnitude 4.6 occurred 35 minutes ago 85 km west of La Libertad, Mexico, Mexico's National Seismological Service (SSN) reported.
The quake hit at a shallow depth of 11 km beneath the epicenter near La Libertad, Pitiquito, altar sonora, Mexico, in the morning on Sunday, December 26th, 2021, at 10:43 am local time. Magnitude and other quake parameters can still change in the coming hours as the agency continues to process seismic data.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) which listed the quake at magnitude 4.6 as well.
